There is good news for people travelling from Bihar to Odisha. SpiceJet has started a pair of direct flight services between Patna and Jharsugda in Odisha. With the introduction of this airline, the old demand for Biharis living in Odisha has been fulfilled. According to SpiceJet`s station manager S Hasan, earlier the passengers used to reach Jharsuguda via Kolkata or Delhi, which used to take more than 10 hours, but now passengers will reach Jharsuguda from Patna in 1 hour 15 min.

A large number of people are travelling from this flight after its commencement on May 1.

The fare from Patna to Jharsuguda is around 3500 rupees. Flight no. SG 3724 will take off from Patna at 3:05 pm and the time to land Jharsuguda is 4:20 pm. The same flight from Jharsuguda, SG 3725, takes off at 4:40 pm and lands at Patna Airport at 5:55 pm.

Actually, due to Jharsuguda being an industrial city, a large number of people from Bihar and Patna work here. It takes about 17 hours from Patna to Jharsuguda on a train journey.
