The chain of deaths from corona at Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences came to an end on Thursday.

The hospital administration breathed a sigh of relief as not a single corona-infected patient died.

After the last one and a half months, patients infected with this disease were continuously dying. Between five and eight patients were dying daily in the institute.

A total of six new patients were admitted to the institute on Thursday.

However, patients admitted to oxygen and ICU continue to come. At present, 173 patients are admitted on oxygen in IGIMS, out of which more than 40 patients are being treated in ICU, while 217 beds are still vacant. Three patients were discharged.
