The education system in Bihar can be brought back on track soon by following the COVID-19 Guidelines. If the situation remains normal with Corona in the state, then in July, education will start in all educational institutions including schools and colleges.

However, all the classes will not be conducted simultaneously, but in a phased manner. Preparation for this has been started by the Education Department. In the meeting of the Disaster Management Group, after taking feedback from all the districts, the date of opening of schools and colleges will be announced.

Education Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary has given this information.

Be aware that during the second wave of coronavirus infection in Bihar, educational institutions have been closed. Along with this, the examinations have also been postponed or canceled. At present, online classes are being conducted.

Strict adherence to the Covid-19 safety protocol will be mandatory for all educational institutions when regular classes start. For this, the Education Department is also preparing a new guideline.

In view of the possibility of a third wave of the corona, vaccination of all the teachers and personnel is also to be done before the conduct of regular classes. For this, a letter has been written to the responsible officers of the districts including all the civil surgeons.

State Education Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary says that some special measures will be initiated to compensate for the loss caused to the students due to the classes being closed during the Corona period.

Crash courses of 45 to 60 days will be started as soon as regular classes start.

According to the Education Minister, the safety of the students is the top priority of the government.

Therefore, schools will be opened in a phased manner. Classes from class 12th to ninth will be conducted in the first phase, classes from eighth to six in the second phase and classes from five to one in the third phase.

Guidelines will be issued on the attendance of students in other educational institutions. Only 50% of the students will be present in the class in a day.

According to the Education Minister, online education continues, but not all students in Bihar have smartphones or tablets. In such a situation, education was affected, for which measures would be taken to compensate.

The Education Minister said that the children of below poverty line families should not face any problems further, so the education department has written to the central government to sanction funds under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan.

From this amount, such children will be given electronic resources like tablets.

To bring the education system back on track, the shortage of teachers will also be removed. He said that within three months, about 1.25 lakh teachers will be appointed in primary and secondary schools. After this, 30 thousand more teachers will be reinstated.

Talking about higher education, it will also be brought back on track. Full-time Vice-Chancellors (VCs) will be reinstated in all universities. Bihar State University Service Commission is also going to fill more than 4,500 posts of Assistant Professors in Universities and Colleges. Its process has been started.

Shortage of non-teaching staff in universities will also be removed.
