The ruckus that has been going on for the last few months in the Municipal Corporation of the capital Patna has now come to an end. The no-confidence motion brought against Deputy Mayor Meera Devi was approved today.

Along with this, the chair of Deputy Mayor Meera Devi also went away. At the same time, there was a lot of ruckus during the no-confidence motion.

During the no-confidence motion, 38 out of 74 councilors voted against Meera Devi. At the same time, after losing the chair, Meera Devi accused of rigging in voting. At present, the deputy mayor`s chair is gone, but the question is who will be the next deputy mayor of Patna?

The no-confidence motion was first discussed at 12 noon, followed by voting. While the opposition councilors of the deputy mayor voted fiercely, on the other hand, there was not much enthusiasm in favor of Meera Devi.

The councilors voted fiercely in favor of Patna Mayor Sita Sahu, while this battle between the deputy mayor and the mayor is a matter of discussion, as both are associated with the BJP. 29 councilors had demanded to bring no-confidence against Meera Devi, on which voting took place after 2 hours of debate.

Mayor Sita Sahu and her supporters celebrated with great joy after the deputy mayor was defeated in the no-confidence motion. Mayor Sita Sahu said that Meera Devi had accused me of corruption, but could not present any evidence about it.

38 councilors voted in the no-confidence motion, 2 people voted in favor, while the vote of 14 councilors was considered invalid. 20 councilors stayed away from voting.

During the last 4 years, two deputy mayors of Patna, Vinay Kumar Pappu and Meera Devi, have lost their chair.
