In Patna`s Barh police station, there was a ruckus for hours on Sunday night from the side of the bride and groom. The girls who came to attend the engagement did a high-voltage drama, accusing the groom`s side of being arbitrarily.

During the ring ceremony, as soon as the girl took out the ring, the government servant boy ran away with the family, saying that she was not beautiful. Eventually the marriage broke up on the day of the engagement.

According to the information received, the marriage of a girl of Bahadurpur Panchayat of Athamalgola police station area was fixed with a government servant resident of Alawalpur. Ring ceremony was organized on Sunday night at Anamika Rest House in Barh.

As soon as the girl took the boy out to put on the ring that the groom ran away with his family. On this, the people of the girl`s side chasing the boys and caught them in Mokama bypass.

On informing the police, the people of the boy`s side were brought to the Barh police station. Two officers on duty listened to both the sides for hours but during this the girl herself refused to marry in the police station.

The girl started demanding the amount spent in the ring ceremony. Later, after the settlement, fifty thousand rupees were given to the girl side from the side of the boy side, then the matter was settled.

The girl`s side told that the boys had misbehaved with two other girls in the same way in the past, due to which the marriage was broken.

The people of the bride`s side said that after marriage, the boy`s life should not make our daughter`s life hell, due to which the girl`s family refused to marry. After hours of ruckus, the marriage was canceled on the day of the engagement itself.
