Tejas will run between Patna-New Delhi from September 1, speed will be 130 instead of 160

 Tejas train is likely to run between Patna and New Delhi from September 1. It is planned to run on the time of Patna-New Delhi Rajdhani Express train. For this, two rakes have reached the Rajendra Nagar terminal. The board of Rajendra Nagar Tejas Rajdhani Special is installed on the rack.

Equipped with modern facilities, this train will be quite comfortable for the passengers. Passengers will not realize this even if they are in speed. Its specialty will be that the doors of the coach will open and close automatically on the lines of the metro.

The train will not run without closing the door. Due to this, passengers cannot get on and off the moving train. Passengers will get information about the next station coming inside the bogie on the display board.

For the convenience of the passengers, there is only one berth on the side. The train has Wi-Fi facility.

Rajdhani train leaves between Rajendra Nagar Terminal and New Delhi in the evening. It leaves Patna at 7:10 PM and reaches New Delhi at 7:40 AM. Approval from Railway Board is awaited for running Tejas on time of Rajdhani. Tejas will also have the facility of 3 AC, 2 AC and first class AC.

On all the bogies, different designs have been made in mustard flower and light red color. The speed of Tejas is more than 160 kmph. But, due to the current track, the speed of the train will be 130 kmph.

Railway sources said that soon a notification will be issued from the Railway Board regarding train timings, fare etc.

According to the information, Tejas Express is a medium fast speed train with modern facilities. Its maximum speed is 160 kmph. It is manufactured at Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala. The first Tejas ran between Mumbai and Goa in May 2017.

This first train of the country with 20 coaches has automatic doors in all the coaches. Along with this, there is a vending machine for tea and coffee in every compartment. Each seat has an LCD screen and Wi-Fi facility.

In Tejas, the favorite food prepared by the eminent chefs will be served. The train has bio vacuum toilets with low water consumption. Touchless water tap, soap dispenser and hand drier have been installed in the toilets. It has got the distinction of being the first corporate train ie IRCTC operated train.
