Air service will start in many cities of Bihar, after Gaya, preparations to start international flights from Patna and Bihta airport also intensified

In order to start international flights from Patna, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has demanded 49.5 acres of land from the state government to develop the airport according to international flights.

Many airports of Bihar can get the benefit of Regional Connectivity Scheme `UDAN`. The objective of Prime Minister Narendra Modi`s UDAN scheme is that even the common man wearing Hawai Chappal can travel by air.

Work has started on this plan of PM Modi at a fast pace. Let us tell you that Patna, Gaya, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur, Jogbani, Munger, Raxaul, Purnia, Gopalganj, Bihta airports are present in Bihar of which Patna, Gaya and Domestic air service is available from Darbhanga airport only.

Now domestic flight service will start from Muzaffarpur, Purnia and Raxaul airports soon.

Patna`s Jai Prakash Narayan Airport is the 14th busiest airport in India. From here, many major cities of India fly to Bangalore, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Amritsar, Jaipur, Mumbai, Chennai, etc. In order to start international flights from Patna, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has demanded 49.5 acres of land from the state government to develop the airport according to international flights.

At the same time, 78 acres of additional land has been demanded for starting international flights from Darbhanga airport. Apart from this, 176 acres more land has been demanded from the state government to start international flights from Bihta. In which 119 acres of land has also been made available by the state government.

Apart from this, 50 acres for Purnia Airport, 123 acres for Raxaul Airport, 475 acres for Muzaffarpur Airport have also been demanded by the Ministry of Civil Aviation so that air service can be started from here as soon as possible.

Please tell that at present Purnia and Bihta and Sabaya airports are used only for military use. The domestic airport located in the city of Muzaffarpur was added to the UDAN project in the year 2018 to connect it to other cities in India.

Funds have been released by the Central Government to re-establish this airport so that 30 to 60 seater aircraft can fly from Kolkata, Ranchi, Varanasi, Gaya.

The historic Raxaul Airport, located on the Indo-Nepal border in 1960, has its own identity. It was constructed on the suggestion of the Prime Minister keeping in view the security.

It was the second-largest airport in the country after the Raxaul Airport Dum Dum Airport after it was fully completed. Air service was also started from here in 1968 but the service was stopped in 1970. Now the exercise to start here again from Hawaii has been intensified.
