Swine flu knocked in Patna, three patients found; Phulwarisharif patient dies of influenza A

Even after decreasing the cases of corona infection, the grip of virus-borne diseases is tightened in the state. Cases of swine flu (H1N1 virus) have also been found on Friday amid the havoc of viral fever.

However, the cause of death is being attributed to Influenza A virus. Let us tell you that swine flu is a variant of the influenza A group virus itself.

Epidemic Officer Prashant Kumar said that three cases have been reported in the month of September. Two of these are H1N1 virus of swine flu, the second influenza A virus with swine flu, the third who died of influenza A and another patient with influenza B virus. Let us tell you that swine flu has also been declared a pandemic and it is considered quite contagious.

Dr. Talat Halim, Regional Director of Paras HMRI said that swine flu had knocked in the month of July itself. Three cases have been reported in September. At the same time, swine flu has been confirmed by RT-PCR method in nine people since July.

It has been confirmed in one in July, five in August and three in September so far. Recently, eight including one have been discharged so far. One patient is undergoing treatment and his condition is improving. At the same time, 58-year-old Arkshvad Kumar, a resident of Birla Colony of Phulwari Sharif, has died, he was a kidney and septic patient.

Influenza A was confirmed in it, but H1N1 was not confirmed by RT-PCR specific test. He was admitted to the hospital on 4 September.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Vibhag Kumar Singh said that the Epidemic Officer has been directed to identify the people who came in contact with swine flu infected people and get them tested. Along with sending medicines to the homes of those who get infected, other precautions will be taken.

ICMR`s Patna branch Rajendra Memorial scientist Dr. GC Sahu said that the respiratory infection swine flu ie H1N1 virus originated in pigs and spread to humans through their sneezing etc. In the years after 2009, its cases increased rapidly in India as well.

In 2019 it was declared as a pandemic. After this, the government, notifying this disease, directed all the hospitals to inform the health department about its patients.
