Centre to spend Rs 6,000cr for revival of Barauni firm

The Centre has decided to spend around Rs 100 crore if a 29-acre plot is made available by the state government for the purpose, he said.He also announced that 50 outlets of generic medicines would be opened in East Champaran and West Champaran districts, which would sell medicines at low prices to people.He appealed to CM Nitish Kumar to make available land for Mahatma Gandhi Central University at Motihari, which was currently running from a makeshift campus.Presiding over the function, Union agriculture minister Radha Mohan Singh said, "As per the Narendra Modi government's commitment, we have already enhanced the support price of paddy from Rs 1,300 to 1,530 per quintal but the state government does not give this price to farmers.
