Lalu owns Rs 115 cr benami plot in South Delhi: Sushil Modi

The directors and the shareholders of AB Export at that time were Ashok Kumar Banthia and Sangita Banthia.The BJP MLC added that ownership of the firm A.B. 60 crore.A B Exports Private Limited was incorporated on February 16, 1996 and its registered address too is D-1088, New Friends Colony, South Delhi. Exports purchased the plot at New Friends Colony for Rs. Modi further claimed that the value of the four- storey under- construction building on the plot is around Rs. Exports was gradually transferred from the Banthias to the Lalu family over a few years after the purchase of the house at New Friends Colony.

PATNA: Senior BJP functionary and former deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi fired fresh salvo of benami property on the family of RJD chief Lalu Prasad on Saturday as he alleged that property worth of Rs.115 crores in the upscale New Friends Colony south Delhi is owned by them.The leader of opposition in legislative council claimed that A.B. Exports Private Limited, a "shell firm" run by Lalu- family owns a plot measuring 800 square meter on D- 1088, New Friend's Colony, the present market value of which is estimated to be around Rs. 55crores. Modi further claimed that the value of the four- storey under- construction building on the plot is around Rs. 60 crore.A B Exports Private Limited was incorporated on February 16, 1996 and its registered address too is D-1088, New Friends Colony, South Delhi. The two directors in the firm at present are third daughter Chanda Yadav and fourth daughter Ragini Lalu and it is involved in wholesale of household goods. Besides, 98% shares in the firm are presently owned by Lalu's younger son and deputy CM of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav at present.As per documents furnished by Modi during a press conference held at BJP state headquarters on Saturday, A. B. Exports purchased the plot at New Friends Colony for Rs. 4.99crore in the year 2007- 08. Modi claimed that funds for buying the plot came to A.B. Exports through convertible debenture of roughly a crore each issued by four Mumbai-based jewellery firms- Alka Diamond Industries, Real Gold Trading Co Pvt Ltd:, Hema Trading Co Pvt Ltd and Yash V Jewels Ltd- and one Lexus Infotech Pvt. Ltd. The directors and the shareholders of AB Export at that time were Ashok Kumar Banthia and Sangita Banthia.The BJP MLC added that ownership of the firm A.B. Exports was gradually transferred from the Banthias to the Lalu family over a few years after the purchase of the house at New Friends Colony.
