BJP president V. Swaminathan has denied making casteist remarks against Congress MLA V. Vizeaveny. The complaint filed by Ms. Vizeaveny was false and it was aimed at deflecting attention, he said. Hundreds of Papsco workers, including Dalits, were present when he made the speech. The complaint was filed to deflect attention from the charges he had levelled against Congress MLA N. Danavelou of adopting fraudulent means to swindle government money, the BJP president said. ‘Ready to resign’Mr. Swaminathan said if the charges were proved against him he was ready to resign.
