Addressing party workers at the Pradesh Congress Committee office during the celebration of the party president Rahul Gandhi, he said the Congress would make a come back in the next parliamentary elections. “The Congress government here is functioning after overcoming obstacles. Those who are creating hurdles will vanish after the parliamentary elections,” he said. Mr. Narayanasamy added that at the recently held NITI Aayog meeting in New Delhi, the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, West Bengal and Kerala had expressed support for him. ‘Nation going backwards’ The Bharatiya Janata Party had taken the country backward in its four years of governance. The economy had taken a toll due to the ill-conceived policy decisions, he said. Accusing the BJP of creating tension among various communities, the Chief Minister said the Central government had failed in all fronts and all secular parties would come together against the BJP in the next parliamentary elections.
