Legal Rights Council to open unit

The Legal Rights Council (LRC) — India, a non-governmental organisation working to provide legal services and raise awareness about the law — will open a chapter in the city on Wednesday. Rajalaxmi Manda, LRC general secretary, is expected to attend the inaugural function at 5 p.m. The LRC, which offers self-defence coaching for women and works for the uplift of backward communities, will begin its operations in Puducherry from its premises at No. 3, Rose Garden, East Coast Road, Lawspet.
