Varsity inks pact with ICSI to reward B. Com. toppers

The award, which consists of a gold medal, would be given to a student declared as topper by the university in the B. Com. The agreement covered waiver of registration fee for top three students for an executive programme conducted by ICSI. “The agreement would help create synergy between the university education and professional education,” the release said.

Com course. The award, which consists of a gold medal, would be given to a student declared as topper by the university in the B. Com. course. The student could be from any affiliated college of the university. The medal would be given to only students doing the fulltime course, a release here said. As per the agreement, the institute would procure the medal. But it had put a ceiling of ?25,000 for the procurement of 10 gm gold, the release here said. The award and a certificate would be given to the topper during the annual convocation. The agreement covered waiver of registration fee for top three students for an executive programme conducted by ICSI. “The agreement would help create synergy between the university education and professional education,” the release said. Those who attended the function to mark the signing of the agreement included Vice-Chancellor of Pondicherry University Gurmeet Singh, registrar of the university Sasi Kantha Dash, finance officer B. Chithra, controller of examinations and joint secretary ICSI-Southern India Regional Office Sarah Arokiaswamy, deputy director Chitra Anandhraman, deans and heads of departments, the press release added.
