Narayanasamy exhorts party cadres to make Rahul PM

Narayanasamy on Saturday exhorted Congress cadre to work towards making party president Rahul Gandhi the next Prime Minister after the Lok Sabha polls. Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy addressing Congress workers at a rally seeking a probe into Rafale deal on Saturday in Puducherry. The party would use all means to expose the BJP government on the Rafale deal, the Chief Minister said. Mr Narayanasamy said the BJP government had inflicted a heavy burden on the public by frequently increasing the price of petroleum products. Earlier, Mr Narayanasamy, Minister for Public Works A. Namassivayam, Social Welfare Minister M. Kandasamy, Minister for Revenue M.O.H F Shahjahan, Mr Wasnik and Mr Dutt led the rally from Swadeshi Mill Complex to New Collectorate.

Narayanasamy on Saturday exhorted Congress cadre to work towards making party president Rahul Gandhi the next Prime Minister after the Lok Sabha polls. Addressing party workers at the culmination of a protest rally demanding a probe into the Rafale deal, the Chief Minister said the Congress would make a comeback in the parliamentary elections. “Congress workers should strive hard to make Rahul the next Prime Minister,” he said. The Rafale deal entered by the Prime Minister with the French government had cost the exchequer a great loss. The party would use all means to expose the BJP government on the Rafale deal, the Chief Minister said. Mr Narayanasamy said the BJP government had inflicted a heavy burden on the public by frequently increasing the price of petroleum products. “The economy is in shambles due to the wrong policies of the Centre. The rupee is at its weakest” the Chief Minister said. All India Congress Committee in-charge for UT Mukul Wasnik in his address said the Narendra Modi led BJP government was the “most ineffective,” the country had seen. “The Prime Minister is only interested in power and in serving the interest of RSS. There is no rule of law,” he said. Speaking on the occasion, AICC secretary Sanjay Dutt said the Centre was trying to destabilise the Congress government in UT. “We will not buckle under pressure and will overcome all obstacles put by the Centre,” Mr Dutt said. Earlier, Mr Narayanasamy, Minister for Public Works A. Namassivayam, Social Welfare Minister M. Kandasamy, Minister for Revenue M.O.H F Shahjahan, Mr Wasnik and Mr Dutt led the rally from Swadeshi Mill Complex to New Collectorate.
