Senior Superintendent of Police (Law and Order) Apoorva Gupta said that previous enmity between the victim Udhayakumar, 28, and Sakthivel was the reason behind the murder. The accused have been identified as Sakthivel alias Chinna Sakthivel, 19, and Ramu alias Ranganathan, 28, of Lambart Saravanan Nagar and Sathishkumar alias Sathish, 19, of Boomiyanpet. The police on Tuesday arrested three persons in connection with the murder of a youth in Reddiyarpalayam on Sunday. But Sathivel who got a wind of the plan, murdered Udhayakumar. The victim and his associates had planned to kill Sakthivel.
