Puducherry cancels class 12th board exams, check details

The Union Territory of Puducherry also cancelled the class 12th board examinations on Monday.

Many states have also cancelled their board exams after the cancellation of CBSE`s 12th exam. The Union Territory of Puducherry also cancelled the class 12th board examinations on Monday. Chief Minister N Rangasamy made an announcement in this regard.

The Chief Minister issued a press release saying that the examinations for Puducherry and Karaikal regions, which have followed the Tamil Nadu pattern syllabus and curriculum, have been cancelled; this announcement comes a few days after the Tamil Nadu government decided to cancel the examinations. Significantly, more than 14,000 students of Puducherry and Karaikal had to appear in the class 12th examination.

It is noteworthy that the Union Territory of Puducherry does not have any board of its own, so all the schools here are affiliated with the Tamil Nadu Board.
Students and parents have breathed a sigh of relief due to the cancellation of the Puducherry 12th examination in view of the Covid-19 crisis.

After the cancellation of CBSE`s 12th board exams, many states including Haryana, Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal have cancelled their 12th board exams.
