Bureaucratic hurdles Stating that building infrastructure is important for building a nation, he complained that to raise a building in one’s own land requires no objection from 16 departments. “Why should we get a no objection certificate from 16 departments to build in our own land? Even after four-and-a-half-years they neither give us a objection certificate nor do they tell the reason what they are objecting for,” he said. He added: “Systematically, we think people must be controlled. The education, administration and political system are all about controlling people. We can build a great nation only when we produce great people. Even in the better states of south India, 60% of the male population’s skeletal system has not grown to its full size. We have not focussed on developing human beings,” he said. Hailing the Sadhguru as an inspiration, Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi said that she was overwhelmed by his presence.
