Narayanasamy on Friday said he disapproved of the posters caricaturing Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi that had sprung up at a few places in the city. “There should be no caricatures of Ms. Bedi in any form as these types of protests are not warranted as the total response to the recent bandh had shown that the public mood had turned against her for the arbitrary appointment of the three nominated MLAs,” Mr. Narayanasamy said. The Chief Minister appealed to party cadre to refrain from making comments and criticisms against Ms. Bedi. ‘In poor taste’ Meanwhile, Ms. Bedi slammed the posters as being “in real poor taste”. “They are an attempt at lowering the status of the office of the Lt. Governor. Persons can be disliked but the sanctity of the Lt. Governor office must not be compromised,” Ms. Bedi said. Respectful means of protest can be found without disrespecting Constitutional offices, she added.
