The announcement was made by Puducherry Chief Secretary Manoj Parida during the Independence Day celebrations at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex. Superintendent of Police Konda Venkateswara Rao, Inspector of Police Crime Records Bureau and Web Officer S. Bascarane, Inspector of Police, Grand Bazaar Police Station, N. Selvame, and Assistant Sub Inspector of Police, Solai Nagar Police Station, R. Umaibalan, have been selected for the President’s Police Medal, 2017.
