Mr. Chandirasekaran, who is considered close to Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi, met Mr. Parida after the Court while hearing a petition filed by the former Commissioner challenging the order putting him on compulsory wait asked him to approach the Chief Secretary for his reinstatement to the administration. “We will inform him about the posting later. He will be asked to report to duty accordingly. He was keen to be reinstated as Commissioner but the court has left the decision to the civil services appointment board,” Mr. Parida told The Hindu. Both the officers were summoned by the Privileges Committee and sought explanations. Meanwhile, Mr. Chandirasekaran approached the court challenging the order issued by the Chief Secretary. Sources in the Secretariat said the contempt proceedings would go as per rules.
