The Communist Party of India (CPI) national secretary K. Narayana on Wednesday charged the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with building its influence in Tamil Nadu through the ruling AIADMK in an utterly nasty manner. Dhinakaran had been sidelined in the AIADMK because he was airing his views against the BJP. He told presspersons that the BJP had come forward to reunite the factions of the AIADMK with greater support than what one could see in the past. Mr. Narayana pointed out that the CPI had been now carrying on a campaign to bring to focus the corrupt practices by the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the Centre. The demonetisation exercise of the Centre had failed although there were claims that black money would be unearthed.

The economic growth of the country had been static at 5.7% now. The demonetisation exercise of the Centre had failed although there were claims that black money would be unearthed. The Goods and Services Tax (GST) was anti-people and was favouring the corporate companies since the levy of tax on products manufactured by the corporate companies had been reduced from 33 to 28%, he said.
