PUNE: Six persons associated with filmmaking were denied entry to a hotel on Senapati Bapat Road on Tuesday night allegedly for not wearing proper clothes and footwears.Viraj Munot, executive producer of some Marathi and Hindi films, Ajit Wadikar, writer and director of a few Marathi films, production manager Vilas Kondhalkar, writer-director Pradip Shalini, assistant director Sanjay Hosmani and artist Aseem Tribhuvan had gone to the hotel to discuss the script of a movie. They alleged that the hotel management discriminated against them for their appearance and submitted a complaint application to the Chatushringi police.On Wednesday evening, the police initiated an inquiry to establish the veracity of the complaint. Senior inspector Dayanand Dhome said, “We have received the complaint application. They claimed that the hotel management discriminated against them. The hotel employees will be summoned for questioning.”The six men met Dhome on Wednesday and demanded that their complaint should be treated with seriousness because the hotel has breached the provisions of Article 15 of the Constitution of India.Munot told TOI, “We had an interesting script with us and decided to have some brainstorming on it.
