Pune: Businessman Ram Buxani’s face lit up when he started speaking about his beloved Dada. He had travelled from Dubai to attend the last rites of Dada JP Vaswani.“Dada meant only love,” he said, explaining their association that spanned close to 50 years. “I have been in touch with him for 50 years. Every interaction with him has been a memorable one. Dada was compassionate, he never got angry with anybody,” he said.Buxani would travel to Pune at least once every year to meet Dada and seek his blessings. “When we were to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary, he suggested that I distribute copies of his book Happy Ever. I insisted that he write a message in one of the copies but I was told that due to his advanced age he would not be able to write. But Dada agreed to do whatever makes ‘Ram’ happy. He wrote 20 sentences over 20 days. He always tried to make everyone happy,” Buxani said.He said Dada has left a lasting legacy for the community and the world. “When my sister called from Hong Kong , I told her he will not leave us. We feel like orphans now,” he said.
