SIT waits for data in Rs 94 cr cyber hack case

PUNE: Police commissioner K Venkatesham on Thursday said a Special Investigation Team ( SIT ) would probe the Rs 94.42 crore fraud in the cyber hack committed on Pune-based Cosmos Bank between August 11 and 13.Venkatesham said deputy commissioner of police (cyber) Jyoti Priya Singh will head the SIT comprising three police inspectors and seven policemen. “The team will obtain CCTV footage from the kiosk to identify the person who withdrew the money,” an officer from the crime branch said.

Venkatesham said they were investigating.SIT head DCP Singh said, “We have to work out the complete details about the lead relating to the Kolhapur ATM. The bank has to provide us with the data which will take some time.
