Underground power cables on the cards

PIMPRI CHINCHWAD : All civic bodies have been directed to lay underground Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) power cables under the integrated power development scheme.Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis directed the executive engineers of PWD and MSEDCL to install the cables on August 17. PWD will also have to audit the repair work of its roads.MSEDCL will either pay 20% on labour charges or Rs75 per running meter (RMT) for bituminous roads, Rs100 per RMT for concrete roads and Rs100 per RMT for paver blocks.
