PUNE: A criminal, on the run for over five years for planning a dacoity at a fuel station on Undri-Pisoli Road in 2013, was arrested by the Kondhwa Police on Sunday night.Anil, alias Langdia Dagade (42) from Karmala in Solapur district , was arrested after he arrived at Yevlewadi following a tip-off received by havaldar Sharad Navale.The Pune cantonment court on Monday sent him to magisterial custody for 14 days. He was later sent to the Yerawada Central Prison.Dagade and six others had planned to loot a fuel station in April 2013 but timely police action foiled their plan.The Kondhwa Police had then arrested four suspects identified as Vinod Bhalerao, Anwar Shaikh, Zainuddin Ansari and Imran Khan -- all from Kondhwa — and filed a chargesheet against them.An iron pipe, garments, three motorbikes and two gold chains were seized from the suspects.Ansari was later acquitted but the trial against his three accomplices is pending at the district and sessions court.
