If the students are ready, then we will allow them to appear for the exam. This burdens the university to a great extent as the examination department has to set question papers, evaluation pattern for the cuurent pattern as well as the 2008 pattern for all the courses the university offers,” an official from the examination department said.The official further added, “The last time we saw there were approximately around 15,000 such students who failed the 2008 pattern. They can fill them until before five days of their respective first examination, which may be either the practical/viva examination or the written examination.” If they do not pass the exam this year, they will not be allowed to appear for the exams again or appeal for a re-exam. Now how many of them have dropped out and how many will appear for the examination can be identified only after we take stock of how many students fill up their examination forms.”Chavan said, “The students can start filling up the forms from Monday.
