Pune: Soon, selfie-takers will have something to crow about at Pune railway station.To cater to those who love taking photos on the go, the railway authorities have come up with the idea of ‘safe’ selfie zones.To begin with, there will be a wall painting depicting the annual Pandharpur Wari, in addition to modern art pieces in the form of different types of bags carried by travellers, which will make the act of clicking selfies all the more fun.Officials told TOI that the design has been finalised and three selfie points will come up by early April.“There is a plan to set up selfie points at different stations. We have decided that 3 such points will come up near the front gate of Pune station,” a senior Pune division official said.The Indian Railway Station Development Corporation (IRSDC) has been given the task of re-developing a total of 600 stations across the country with the help of private players.In addition, the railways will develop 70 stations across the country and set up ‘selfie points’.“We also plan to create a replica of the main gate of the historic Shaniwar Wada. People can stand in front of the three points and click pictures.
