Rise in income hinges on Metro corridor FSI

Additional FSI will not benefit the residents as sizes of the plots in teh city’s core area are small and most stretches are densely populated. People living along the Metro corridor are eager to see the impact of the policy, the sources said.Civic activists, however, have sounded an alert about the possible adverse impact of the TOD policy on the city’s environment, especially along the Metro corridors. The focus will be on additional floor space index (FSI) for constructions in the TOD influence zone along the Metro corridor.Two options are under consideration while declaring the TOD zones. PUNE: The cash-strapped civic body is banking much on the possibility of additional floor space index (FSI) along the Metro route to bolster its revenue.The state government is likely to announce the transit oriented development (TOD) policy for the Pune Metro project soon. The government has already come out with TOD regulations for the Nagpur Metro.
