Cops book 11 errant riders in 24 hours on FC Road

Babar, a photographer, has been admitted in the hospital with fractures.Lagad said that police have registered all the first information reports (FIRs) under the section 279 during the drive on Wednesday and Thursday.The drive will continue on both the roads — J M road and FC Road.

At the moment, vehicles are only allowed to travel from Good Luck Chowk towards Agriculture College Chowk.According to senior inspector Deepak Lagad of the Deccan Gymkhana police station, they caught 10 twowheeler riders violating the one-way rule on the FC Road on Wednesday and Thursday, while traffic police booked one rider.The drive was initiated in the aftermath of Tuesday’s accident, in which a 23-yearold woman died after her friend crashed his bike into a barricade opposite Wadeshwar restaurant while riding on the wrong side.police on Tuesday had booked the motorcyclist, Hrushikesh Babar (25) of Raviwar Peth, under the stringent Section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the Indian Penal Code , which attracts a maximum punishment of 10 years in jail.
