PUNE: The main electoral roll will be finalised by March 20 and the supplementary list will be ready in a few days before the polls as per the deadline set by the chief electoral officer, election officials in Pune said on Tuesday.For Pune district’s two-phase elections, the last date for voter registration is March 25 and the finalisation of the electoral roll for the first phase is April 10 for the polling in Pune and Baramati parliamentary constituency. For Shirur and Maval constituencies, the last date of registration is March 30 and the finalisation of electoral roll is April 14.Deputy election officer Monica Singh told TOI that the main roll is an extension of the roll with the additions after January 31. This will be finalised by March 20 and the supplementary list will have the additions of names till March 25 and March 30, respectively.There would be no further “deletions” or correction of addresses or changes in constituency henceforth.After complaints raised about duplicate names in the voters’ list by some parties in Mumbai, Pune election officials said they have already removed duplicate names after a door-to-door survey and through checks with the voters.“We do not have such cases.
