Pune municipality reports 98 fresh COVID cases, 270 positive

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has reported 98 Covid cases yesterday, the lowest in the last 10 months. One person succumbed to the virus. 

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has reported 98 Covid cases yesterday, the lowest in the last 10 months. One person succumbed to the virus. 

In Pune district, 270 people tested positive, taking the total to 3, 76,547. 335 patients recovered and were discharged, taking the tally of recoveries to 3, 62,804. At present, there are around 2,000 people under hospital isolation and 2,922 under home isolation.

Pune district witnessed a total of three deaths, taking the toll to 9,015. Among the fresh cases, 98 are from the civic body, 84 are from Pimpri-Chinchwad, and 16 are from municipal council limits, five from the cantonment, and 67 from village regions.

In Maharashtra, 1,842 people tested positive, taking the tally to 20, 10,948. 30 people died of Covid. The death toll is at 50,815. 3,080 patients were discharged. Till now, 19, 15,344 people have recovered. The recovery rate is at 95.25% and the case fatality rate at 2.53%.

At present, 2, 07,971 people are in-home quarantine and 2,360 people are in institutional quarantine. In the civic body limits, 205 patients continue to be serious and around 300 are under oxygen therapy. 123 patients were cured and discharged.
