Pune district reports 1451 fresh COVID cases, seven deaths

The total number of COVID cases has reached 4,04,948 in the Pune district with the addition of 1451 fresh Coronavirus positive on Friday late evening. 813 patients got discharged from hospitals while seven people died.

The total number of COVID cases has reached 4,04,948 in the Pune district with the addition of 1451 fresh Coronavirus positive on Friday late evening. 813 patients got discharged from hospitals while seven people died.

Dr. Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 4,04,948 patients 3,86,506 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 9221 people have died. There are still 9389 active patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals, also out of 9389, 5572 are Home Isolated. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 22,92,608 people have been tested in the district.

The 4,04,948 patients include 2,01,189 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 1,04,911 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 7139 from Cantonment areas, 71,106 are from Rural areas, and 20,603 from municipal council (Nagar Parishad) areas in the district.
