The Pune police had gone through the case and took necessary action with helped the victim get back his Rs 3.57 lakh that he had lost to cybercriminals in a case of online credit card fraud.

The Cyber police had issued a press release that stated "a cyber fraudster had called a man on his mobile phone earlier this month and offered to give him “reward points” by issuing a new credit card after closing his existing card of SBI bank.

Following that the criminal took his confidential details and transferred Rs 3.66 lakh within a short span without his knowledge and consent on July 14. 

On receiving information about the fraudulent transaction, the “payment merchants” responded to the police, and Rs 3,57,362 was transferred back into the complainant’s bank account.
