Plans afoot to regulate fees in CBSE schools

Education activists welcomed the move as there were cases where officials were denied access to CBSE schools.On fee regulation in CBSE schools, Javadekar said states should learn from the Gujarat model where a committee consisting of high court judge decides if the fee above a certain limit is reasonable or not considering facilities the school provides to students. PUNE: Following complaints from parents and state officials against schools affiliated to CBSE and other boards, the HRD ministry will soon come out with checks for private schools.Union HRD minister Prakash Javadekar said in Pune that he has a plan which will be notified after talking to officials concerned.
