Raipurians celebrate V-Day with the specially-abled

Rakesh Singh Thakur (Samarthya) & Sandeep Yadav (181 helpline) noted down their problems and updated them with the progress of works which was initiated few days back to them regarding making of their Unique diability card & certificates, Ration Card, Health card etc.Dr. The young members of PAHAL, Samarthya and 181 Women Helpline celebrated Valentine’s Day with leprosy cured and disabled persons at their basti near Mova Bridge in Raipur on February 14 at 3pm but on demand of affected people it was continued February 15 as well. On the occasion of Valentine’s Day when most of the youth are busy celebrating and expressing their love to someone special, there are some of the active youth in Raipur who decided to celebrate this occasion and spread love in the slum area of Mova Basti, Raipur where people may hesitate to visit.Indira Kusth Basti is the residence of leprosy cured and disabled people.

The young members of PAHAL, Samarthya and 181 Women Helpline celebrated Valentine’s Day with leprosy cured and disabled persons at their basti near Mova Bridge in Raipur on February 14 at 3pm but on demand of affected people it was continued February 15 as well. On the occasion of Valentine’s Day when most of the youth are busy celebrating and expressing their love to someone special, there are some of the active youth in Raipur who decided to celebrate this occasion and spread love in the slum area of Mova Basti, Raipur where people may hesitate to visit.Indira Kusth Basti is the residence of leprosy cured and disabled people. In some of the area leprosy affected disabled people are ostracised from the society due to their illness which is already painful to them.This programme was conducted with the joint collaboration of PAHAL (pioneering the advancement of Humans), Samarthya and 181 Women Helpline to give free soico-legal aid & awareness to the affected people.In this programme the young lawyer and member of advisory committee of State Planning Commission Saurabh Choudhary (HNLU Alumni) heard their problems and informed them about their socio-legal rights provided under Constitution & Disability Laws. Choudhary assured them to bring them into the mainstream progressive society with the help of govt polices & schemes.
