RAIPUR: Having clinched Mrs Chhattisgarh title, two women from the state are all set to participate in the national competition for Mrs India to be held at Chennai on July 30.Dr. Anuradha Dubey from Raipur and Avantika Shrivastav from Bhilai clinched the title of Classic Mrs India and Mrs India Chhattisgarh respectively are to represent Chhattisgarh in the National level contest.Anuradha Dubey told TOI “Mrs India Chhattisgarh contest held on February 18 last at Raipur in which 50 participants from across the state participated. Among them, the jury selected me for the title of Mrs India Classic. This is a great privilege for me that I have been chosen for this crown”.Anuradha, also a classical dancer, said “I am preparing hard for the national event as per the guidelines and schedules. This national event will provide a big exposure to us and as well as the women’s of our state. Through this event, women’s can see that apart from a homemaker, and caretaker of a family they have the ability to show their inner and outer beauty to the world. The most important this is that the contest is, is shows us the importance of fitness in our life. After getting married and having children women don’t care about their health but such events also help to spread the message among women about fitness.Trained by her Guru P D Ashirwadam, Anuradha had performed dance programmes in many countries including China, Australia, Italy, Egypt, Rome, Anuradha is also a theatre artist.Avantika Shrivastav, who has been selected as Mrs India Chhattisgarh, is also participating at the national competition to be held at Chennai. She had also called on state Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh , who wished her best for the upcoming national event. Avantika runs an online business based out of Hyderabad. She is interested in adventurous sports like snorkelling, paragliding and river rafting.
