Chhattisgarh: Ajit Jogi to embark on hi-tech Vijay Rath for poll

RAIPUR: Janata Congress supremo Ajit Jogi is all set to embark upon his " Vijay Rath " and launch his six-day long " Vijay Yatra " from August 23. Taking care of the needs for Jogi's health, the vehicle would be completely sanitized and is equipped with emergency need. People would be able to see Jogi during road shows via glass doors while a lift has also been installed for Jogi's stage to address public.On Tuesday, the Vijay Rath was taken to Siddhi Vinayak temple by party supremo's son Ammit Jogi to perform rituals before starting for Raipur. Adding religious flavour to his campaign, Jogi would attend 'maha aarti' on the banks of Shivnath and Mahanadi rivers and vow to protect the water bodies to conserve them for future.Agrawal said that Vijay Rath is expected to reach Raipur on Wednesday from Mumbai. It has been designed in a short period of 45 days by a private studio.

Stepping up campaigning for upcoming polls, Jogi would address public meetings in more than 150 villages in 12 Vidhan Sabha constituencies in Chhattisgarh.Adorned with special features, Jogi's Vijay Rath has been customized in Mumbai which has all basic amenities including medical service along with a lift and stage installed in it.According to Janata Congress spokesperson Sanjeev Agrawal , party president Ajit Jogi would blow the 2018 poll bugle grandly by embarking on his specially designed Vijay Rath and proceed for Vijay Yatra. From August 23 to 28, Jogi would lead road shows and address to more than 40 public meetings at 150 villages.Jogi would begin his Vijay Yatra from Banjarimata temple in Bhanpuri at rural Vidhan Sabha on Thursday noon and culminate the campaign at Mahamaya temple in Kota Vidhan Sabha.The road shows would have cultural events and folk dance features too to attract as many people.As per the schedule for first phase of Jogi's Vijay Yatra, the Vijay Rath would walk on roads of rural Raipur, Dharsiva, Bhatapara, Aarang, BalodaBazaar, Kasdol, Masturi, Bilaspur, Beltara and Kota.
