Raipur artists united in support of Kerala victims

Artists for Kerala is an exhibition where some very talented artists have come together and are exhibiting their work for a cause. The artwork in this exhibition is priced with view affordability because we would like to have people take home with them a beautiful piece of art knowing that they have not only encouraged an artist but also done their bit for the flood victims in Kerala. Right from raising funds to collecting medicines, clothes and utility items, help is reaching Kerala in all forms. In the capital city of Raipur , youngsters come forward in support of the victims in a unique way.Some of city's talented artists have come together to show their solidarity with the people of Kerala. We spoke to Sneha Kher , one of the organisers of the initiative and here's what she had to say. "Artists for Kerala is an exhibition where some very talented artists have come together and are exhibiting their work for a cause. The artwork in this exhibition is priced with view affordability because we would like to have people take home with them a beautiful piece of art knowing that they have not only encouraged an artist but also done their bit for the flood victims in Kerala. The artists have committed to donate their profits from sales in this two day event for the same."She further adds, "We have a wonderful mix of talent at this event, photographers, painters and illustrators. One can expect to see some wildlife photography and some spectacular techniques of art. I’d like to invite people to come and be a part of something that will bring a whole new flavour to city’s art scene."The venue is Mahant Ghasidas Art Gallery, Ghadi Chowk, Raipur. The names of the artists participating are Amit Kher, Aishwarya Mitkari, Kajal Lunkad, Keya Vaswani, Manit Balmiki, Neha Chandrakar, Sonal Lakhera, Shriti Mohanto, Smriti Lunawat, Sourabh Tiwari, Sourabh Kashyap and Vijay Jadhwani.
