With grand pandals and celebrations, Raipurians are in for a festive treat.A beautiful statue Lord Ganesha has been made using 11 types of grains for Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. The Ganesha statute represents the people of Chhattisgarh, MP and Maharashtra and this year the focus is on making the central India region more fertile. Interestingly, there are two mice standing in front of the statue.This beautiful Ganesha statute attracts people from Chhattisgarh Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra for symbolising cultural unity. With just a day left for Bappa to bid us goodbye, Raipurians are getting ready to catch the last glimpse of city’s most popular and creative pandals. The eco-friendly Ganesha has also been made by using 51 kilograms of waste newspapers.

On this weekend, revellers from the city are on a last day of pandal hopping spree to soak themselves in the gaiety of the Ganeshotsav celebrations… The city is divided in various sectors and each sector has its own deity.
