Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive at Rungta College of Engineering and Technology

Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive, conducted by the E-Cell, IIT Kharagpur , comes every year among the college students of India. This year the 10th edition of Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive was conducted in the Rungta College of Engineering and Technology recently. IIT Kharagpur’s Entrepreneurship Cell , a non-profit student organisation has taken a step closer towards entrepreneurial India through events like Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES). And the impact of this very drive can be understood through the number of college-student-startups that participate in the annual global business model competition, Empresario conducted by E-Cell itself.Information and pictures shared by Anand Jawade , associate member, Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Kharagpur. IIT Kharagpur’s Entrepreneurship Cell , a non-profit student organisation has taken a step closer towards entrepreneurial India through events like Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES). Since the inception of its e-cell, over 50 start-ups have come up so far and they are expanding to achieve the goal of promoting the same culture in IIT-Kharagpur campus and beyond, reads a press release. This year the 10th edition of Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive was conducted in the Rungta College of Engineering and Technology recently. The event saw a participation of over 3000 students coming from various colleges across the city. Through the words of celebrated entrepreneurs and industrialists like Praveen Wadalkar, Sandeep Jain, Aman Sanduja, Vikram Aditya Tirthani the startup enthusiastic students realised that a real entrepreneur is the one who does and not just dreams, he does not wait for the opportunity to knock the door, he builds the door himself.Praveen Wadalkar focused on the point that why should one become an entrepreneur. Aman Sanduja elaborated the basics of emerging technology Blockchain. Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive, conducted by the E-Cell, IIT Kharagpur , comes every year among the college students of India. Starting from 10 cities and 15,000 students it has grown exponentially to 22 cities and over 30,000 students in its 10th edition held in 2017.
