RAIPUR: Three persons were killed and over two dozen injured in separate accidents in the state on Wednesday.In Deobhog, a private bus with marriage party on board dashed into a roadside tree late on Wednesday night leaving the 27-year-old driver Rohit Yadav dead on the spot.The driver dozed off and lost control over the steering. The accident took place near Navrangpur.Over 25 persons were injured and eight severely wounded in the accident. Passengers were caught off guard as most of them were asleep. They could not hold themselves back after the jerk, said police. Hearing cries for help, locals rushed to the rescue of the passengers and shifted them to a nearby hospital.Some of the passengers, however, claimed that although the driver was sleepy, the incident occurred when he was making way for another vehicle. The injured are undergoing treatment at the local hospital.Another accident claimed lives of two persons in Jagdalpur after a tractor overturned on Dalpat Sagar Road. The tractor was carrying hard fibre pipes with six persons sitting on them. As the tractor turned turtle, they came under the pipes leaving to dead and four injured.Three youths sustained severe injuries after their car dashed into a divider near Bhatagaon flyover in Raipur on Wednesday night. The trio had gone out on a long drive.The impact was so severe that it left the car mangled. The injured were rushed to the hospital and their condition was reported to be stable.
