Two more arrested for selling Remdesivir injection illegallyStaff Reporter :RAIPURActing on specific inputs about black-marketing of life-saving drug 'Remdesivir' injection Raipur Police arrested two persons allegedly indulged in the illegal business. “Based on information received from media and other sources about black-marketing of 'Remdesivir' injection Raipur Police arrested two persons indulged in the illegal practice. The district administration and Raipur Police were constantly making efforts to identify people indulged in the illegal practice” said police officials. The arrested were identified as Suryakant Yadav hailing from Baloda Bazaar district and Vikram Singh a resident of Raipur's Rohinipuram area added the officials. Police sources further informed that a probe has been launched to ascertain the involvement of other people in the black-marketing of Remdesivir injection at the time of crisis.

Several other facts are also being probed by the police. An offence against the duo was registered with Amanaka police station under preventive section and they were produced in a local court informed police sources. At the time of crisis emerging out of the COVID-19 pandemic black-marketing of life-saving drugs is very unfortunate said Raipur Collector Dr S Bharathi Dasan adding that continuous crackdown will be carried out across the district against people indulged in black-marketing.
