Verma emphasises on need for quality in higher education

The workshop is aimed at preparing PRSU-affiliated private and government colleges for the upcoming NAAC assessment. PRSU Vice-Chancellor Professor Keshari Lal Verma Registrar Dr G K Pandey and Council Director Professor A K Gupta are guiding the colleges on NAAC. Chief guest Professor K L Verma emphasised on the need for quality in higher education. Professor K K Ghosh spoke on Criterion-3 'Research Innovation and Extension' on June 10. Professor B S Thakur will speak on June 11 on the subject 'Infrastructure and Learning Resources'.

Verma emphasises on need for quality in higher education Staff Reporter ; Raipur Experts will share views on Infrastructure and Learning Resources today Experts laid emphasis on closer contact with work field keeping academic activities in a realistic perspective expanding score of learning of students and collaborating with academic institutions or industries or other agencies of professional and social relevance as they address a workshop on NAAC organised by Pt Ravishankar Shukla University (PRSU). Seven-day Online Workshop on National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Quality Indicator Frameworks is being organised jointly by the College Development Council Pt Ravishankar Shukla University (PRSU) Raipur and Nodal Agency formed by the State Government from June 8 to 16. The workshop is aimed at preparing PRSU-affiliated private and government colleges for the upcoming NAAC assessment. PRSU Vice-Chancellor Professor Keshari Lal Verma Registrar Dr G K Pandey and Council Director Professor A K Gupta are guiding the colleges on NAAC. Inaugurating the workshop on June 8 Gupta said that experts will share their experience with the colleges on NAAC and how they can improve themselves to improving their NAAC Grade. University will want maximum of its affiliated colleges get NAAC gradation. Chief guest Professor K L Verma emphasised on the need for quality in higher education. He also advocated for employment oriented courses in the colleges strict adherence to academic calendar. A total of seven subject experts will present their views during the workshop. Aarti Parganiha presented her views on June 8 on Criterion-1 Curricula Aspects. Professor C D Agase spoke on Criterion-2 Teaching Learning and Evaluation on June 9. Professor K K Ghosh spoke on Criterion-3 Research Innovation and Extension on June 10. Professor B S Thakur will speak on June 11 on the subject Infrastructure and Learning Resources. Professor Keshavkant Sahu will share views on Student Support and Progression on 14 Professor Swarnlata Saraf will share her views on Governance Leadership and Management on June 15 and Professor Rita Venugopal will speak on Institutional Values and Best Practices on June 16.
