Staff Reporter :RaipurFollowing the instructions of Collector Saurabh Kumar Food Department team on Sunday seized a tanker illegally transporting domestic gas in Mandir Hasaud area of Raipur. The RTO licence of the tanker along with the explosive license was also found illegal. The officers took the tanker for weighing where it was fund that tanker was containing contain 7000 kg (7 tonnes) of gas. The validity of the explosive licence of the vehicle and the licence of the RTO also expired.

Staff Reporter : Raipur Following the instructions of Collector Saurabh Kumar Food Department team on Sunday seized a tanker illegally transporting domestic gas in Mandir Hasaud area of Raipur. The tanker (CG04MT 3572) was transporting huge quantity of LPG which could fill 500 LPG cylinders. The RTO licence of the tanker along with the explosive license was also found illegal. Action has been initiated against Santosh Kumar and Balram Dhruv under the Liquefied Petroleum (Distribution Regulation) Order 2000 and the Essential Commodities Act 1955. Food Controller Tarun Rathore said that the officers of the food department interrogated by stopping the tanker number CG07BT3572 coming from Bargarh in Odisha. The person sitting in the vehicle Santosh Kumar initially told the officers that the tanker was empty. The officers took the tanker for weighing where it was fund that tanker was containing contain 7000 kg (7 tonnes) of gas. The vehicle had the logo of the Indian Oil Company due to which the agreement paper of the oil company the licence of the Explosive Controller and the RTO papers of the vehicle were sought. On submission of documents it was found that the tanker operator does not have any agreement with Indian Oil Company. The validity of the explosive licence of the vehicle and the licence of the RTO also expired. Assistant Food Officer Sanjay Dubey Food Inspector Shweta Diwan Sandeep Sharma carried out the action.
