Chhattisgarh logs 7 new COVID-19 cases, no death; active tally now at 55

Raipur, May 25 (PTI) Chhattisgarh on Wednesday recorded seven new COVID-19 cases, taking its overall tally to 11,52,410, while no death linked to the infection was reported in the state, an official said.The death toll remained unchanged at 14,034, the official said.Of the seven cases, recorded at a positivity rate of 0.21 per cent (cases detected per 100 tests), Bastar district alone reported three patients, he said. No new coronavirus cases were reported from 23 districts, the official said.The recovery count increased by 14 to touch 11,38,321, leaving the state with 55 active cases, the official said.With 3,380 swab samples examined during the day for detection of COVID-19, the tally of tests carried out so far in Chhattisgarh went up to 1,77,23,890, he added.Chhattisgarh"s coronavirus figures are as follows: Positive cases 11,52,410, new cases 7, death toll 14,034, recovered 11,38,321, active cases 55, total tests 1,77,23,890.
