RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Tuesday reiterated that every Indian is a Hindu. Addressing an event in Ambikapur Chhattisgarh, Bhagwat said whatever the people think and say, but science says people who have been residing in the areas from west of Kabul to the east of the Chindwin River, and from the slopes of China to the south of Sri Lanka, the people who exist today have the same DNA for 40,000 years and since then our ancestors are the same.

“We have been telling since 1925 (when RSS was founded) that everyone living in India is a Hindu. Those who consider India as their ‘matrubhoomi’ (mother land) and want to live with a culture of unity in diversity and make efforts in this direction, irrespective of whatever religion, culture, language and food habit and ideology they follow, are Hindus,” Bhagwat said.

He emphasised on respecting everyone’s faith and asserted the DNA of all Indians is the same and they had common ancestors.

“Despite having diversities we all are like one…We had common ancestors. Every Indian who is part of the 40,000-year old ‘Akhand Bharat’ has common DNA. Our ancestors had taught that everyone should stick to their faith and rituals and not try to convert others’ faith. Every path leads to a common place,” said Bhagwat.

Before Mohan Bhagwat`s speech. Around 10000 RSS swayamsevak took part in PadSanchlan program which was witnessed by the entire city. BJP`s sr leader Brijmohan Agarwal also participated in padSanchalan and performed a petal shower on marching swayamsevaks in the city.
