10-yr-old boy among five killed in road accidents

10-year-old Tushar Banjare and 12-year-old Sagar were going to school at around 8 am at Cherikhedi on Aarang-Raipur road when a speeding Scorpio, apparently losing control, hit them from behind and ran over them.The vehicle then overturned. A third incident occurred at Surajpur district where a minor boy was killed while he accompanied his father to the field on a bicycle due to a speeding jeep that collided with them.The boy died on the spot and his father is severely injured. Police have lodged a case under Section 279, 337, 304A of the IPC. They have sustained injuries and are reportedly in a stable condition. The incident has left the family of the boys in deep shock and trauma.In yet another incident, a pick-up van, late on Wednesday night ran over two persons at Pamgarh region in Jajgir Champa district.

RAIPUR: The state of Chhattisgarh seems to have been hit by a wave of road accidents recently as three more road incidents that occurred separately on Thursday claimed five more lives.Two brothers were crushed under the wheels of a vehicle that was part of a marriage party, while on their way to school on Thursday morning. 10-year-old Tushar Banjare and 12-year-old Sagar were going to school at around 8 am at Cherikhedi on Aarang-Raipur road when a speeding Scorpio, apparently losing control, hit them from behind and ran over them.The vehicle then overturned. Police said that one of the tyres of the vehicle had burst, due to which it lost control and overturned.The vehicle was headed towards Kota from Odisha and was returning from a marriage ceremony.The bride and groom were present in the car when the accident took place. They have sustained injuries and are reportedly in a stable condition. The incident has left the family of the boys in deep shock and trauma.In yet another incident, a pick-up van, late on Wednesday night ran over two persons at Pamgarh region in Jajgir Champa district. The duo was returning from a marriage when the pick-up van rammed into their motorcycle from behind and ran over them.What followed was all the more horrific as the vehicle dragged tone of the bodies along for a few kilometers till Devarghata village, where driver stopped the vehicle and escaped.Later, the police was able to nab the driver from his residence and seize the vehicle. A third incident occurred at Surajpur district where a minor boy was killed while he accompanied his father to the field on a bicycle due to a speeding jeep that collided with them.The boy died on the spot and his father is severely injured. 12-year-old Arjun Rajwade , along with his father Vishambhar, was preparing for his sister's wedding scheduled for next week.Vishambhar was rushed to the hospital where his condition is critical while the accused driver is on the run. Police have lodged a case under Section 279, 337, 304A of the IPC.
