Chhattisgarh School director held for sexual harassment of girls

"When the matter was reported to police, other girls also echoed similar stories of sexual harassment during investigation.They were scared of him, they stated as they used to reside on school premises itself. Police had lodged an FIR against him under Sections 354, 342 of the IPC, 31 B1 of ST/Sc Act and 78 of POCSO Act. Pawar meanwhile, got the information that a case was being lodged against him and fled.He was arrested on Saturday while he was going somewhere on his bike. RAIPUR: A girl of Class IX at Pawar Navodaya Residential school , filed a complaint with the police alleging that the school director called many girls individually to his cabin and asked them to strip and touched them inappropriately.The school located at Devri region on Ranitarai Road at Balod district houses girls and boys till Class X.Devri police station in charge Vikas Deshmukh told TOI, "A girl had informed her parents and refused going to school after she was called by the director to his cabin on August 30 and touched inappropriately.
